2008 World Series: Ruthenberg strikes gold for Germany
Back home in Germany the soccer team has reached the semi-finals of Euro 2008 championships hoping to record two more wins for glory. Well, back in Las Vegas one of their countrymen has waved the flag early – Sebastian Ruthenberg, a PokerStars sponsored player, became the latest member of the team to win a bracelet, taking down the $5,000 Seven Card Hi-Lo event, beating former World Champion Chris Ferguson heads-up.
It’s a great result for Sebastian who picks up his first World Series bracelet and a payday of $328,756. He joins the likes of Team PokerStars Pros Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein and Dario Minieri who have each won a bracelet at this year’s World Series.
